PIERCE COUNTY

KID Connect empowers children and families involved in Pierce County Dependency Court by addressing unmet needs beyond the scope of the courts, child welfare agencies, and other organizations. We provide funding to ensure these children experience the joys of childhood while supporting their social, educational, and cultural growth.

Thanks to the foundations that contributed to KID Connect this past year. Their generosity has made it possible to make extraordinary things happen for our kids.

What is KID Connect?

KID Connect is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organized to support the Pierce County Child Advocate Program program. This year we've:

  • Provided funding for the "A Book for Me" program and the Diaper Drive.

  • Helped with recruitment efforts through speaking engagements and booths at community events.

  • Partnered with the United Way to provide our kids and CAAs with tickets to community events.

  • Provided some of the meals for the Arts Connect girls.

  • Funded CAA and GAL requests that were denied by the Children's Fund.

  • Worked on the Pinwheels for Prevention project.

  • Produced the Kid-Connect newsletter.

KID Connect meetings are open to all CAAs and supporters of the CAP program.
